Auris Pentatonic Marimba – 8 3 Note Set

A beautiful introduction to musical creativity, this finely tuned 8 note wooden Marimba Xylophone is a traditional African musical instrument for children and adults. This wooden marimba is handcrafted from Swedish Pine wood and has 8 European Acacia wood notes in a diatonic scale, with an additional 3 notes – this allows you to set it up with a C-C scale, B-B scale, or E- E scale. This set includes a pair of rubber mallets to produce a full, rich sonorous sound. Marimbas are great for introducing young children and babies to rhythm, being played with two mallets, and are wonderful for bringing atmosphere to storytelling time.

Marimbas are a traditional African wooden percussion instrument similar to xylophones, but with a deep frame box to give a full, warm low resonant tone - ideal for introducing musical creativity and note recognition at a young age. An instrument much loved in Waldorf Steiner schools for their harmonious and therapeutic qualities. This marimba has the 8 note keys in diatonic scale made from European Acacia wood on rubber to give a full, rich sonorous sound. These beautiful musical instruments make a wonderful gift that will become a treasured heirloom enjoyed by generations of children.
